Paramount Skydance Plans to Remove Approximately 2,000 American Positions – News
Paramount Skydance plans to begin mass layoffs the week of 27 October, cutting nearly 2,000 US jobs as part of a cost-cutting plan valued at $2bn under CEO David Ellison.
The workforce reduction come after the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August valued at $8.4bn.
More international job cuts are likely, with the company planning to reveal all specifics during its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.
Prior news stated the firm aimed to reduce between 2,000 and 3,000 roles by early November.
Until December 2024, the organization employed about 18,600 permanent and temporary staff plus 3,500 temporary project employees.
The company has not yet commented regarding the report.
